Define the operational problem
Our starting point is a precise constraint: unreliable collection from a farm, lost visibility in a warehouse or delivery capacity that does not match demand. Before considering a platform or an asset, we want to know who bears the cost of that constraint and who would pay to solve it.
Examine the whole route
A useful logistics model should explain utilisation, empty return journeys, service failures and the time between paying suppliers and receiving customer cash. For temperature-sensitive goods, we would also examine spoilage, monitoring and accountability at each handover. A digital interface alone cannot answer these operating questions.
Test the return journey
Consider a proposed cold-chain route linking producers to urban buyers. We would examine both directions of the trip, seasonal volumes, waiting times and the cost of maintaining temperature control. A full outbound vehicle can still leave a weak commercial case if return capacity goes unused or payment collection is slow. Expansion should follow evidence from the complete operating cycle.
